With all the emphasis on certifications today. What kinds are there?
There are basically two types of certifications today. Industry and manufacturers. Industry certifications such as the ICPI and NCMA are offer by trade associations and cover in detail all aspects of that particular industry. They cover proper installation techniques and methodologies and all types of equipment and products available in that industry. Most manufacturers do not require a industry certification. When a industry certification is not available a company’s certification is preferred. A company certification is limited to and only pertains to their particular products.
